MATIS - Gold Coast
Gold Coast University Hospital, Southport QLD.
The new $1.76 billion Gold Coast University Hospital (GCUH) is a major health facility offering tertiary level health care for the Gold Coast and was completed in September 2013. Containing 18 birthing suites, and special newborn care unit, the GCUH is dedicated to providing the best facilities and care for mothers and babies. Following the success of Meridian's Matrix applications used in Townsville and the Mater Hospital in Brisbane, the GCUH chose Meridian's highly adaptable and flexible Perinatal solution software for their Maternity Information System (MATIS).
Meridian worked with the GCUH throughout a complete development cycle to produce the MATIS 'model'. Meridian was involved in all aspects of the project from the running initial work groups, the business logic and rules which govern the behaviour of the application, the agreed workflow to deliver maternity care and the reporting functions. Once consensus was achieved Meridian trained and supervised the 'modellers' (nominated staff who were to create the archetypes and domain values) Meridian took the responsibility for complex business rules and formatted report creation.
